abc_blocksCollege, Career and civic Life (c3) Framework

The College, Career and Civil Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards has been released. The C3 Framework was designed to help states who may wish to increase the rigor of their standards and assist local districts in strengthening their social studies programs. Michigan was part of the multi-state development of this framework and while there are currently no plans to revise the Social Studies Content Expectations adopted in 2007, it provides a strong foundation for understanding the importance of strengthening social studies instruction at the local level.
