What is a Hero Party?

A Hero Party is a celebratory, informative, and engaging way to connect families to agency resources, neighborhood schools, and other families who reside in their communities. It is designed for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. At Hero parties, families have fun in their child's future elementary school! The collaborative approach makes the Hero Party model very affordable as costs are spread among community partners. The Muskegon County Parenting Collaborative in cooperation with the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District and local public schools have successfully offered Hero Parties in urban, rural, and suburban schools.
