Technology Services
The Technology Services Department of the Muskegon Area ISD provides technical assistance and training for both administrative (Instructional Management Services) and instructional (Technology Integration) applications to districts throughout West Michigan.
Thirty school agencies in seven counties subscribe to on-line instructional management services in accounting, payroll and student records.
Technical assistance in connectivity and technology consultation are also offered to these districts. Regular training opportunities are presented to area educators on applications software, integration of technology into the curriculum, and mainframe programs.
Computer Lab
There is a 20 station computer lab available for use at the MAISD. The lab is frequently used for professional development and other trainings. If you would like more information about using the lab, please contact Jennifer Sleeper at 231-767-7230.
Distance Learning
The MAISD is pleased to hold video conferences on site using distance learning equipment. Virtual field trips can be made to an assortment of locations, allowing students to "visit" places without having to travel.
The equipment was purchased as part of the 2000-2001 PLAD Grant.
