How to Apply
Articulation Process for Baker College & Muskegon Community College
- Students should apply for articulation credit for Baker College and Muskegon Community College (MCC) through their school's counseling office. Career Tech Center students may receive assistance from the Student Services office. Courses that the student wishes to articulate should be listed on the Articulation Application form.
- The Competency Record Check List for Articulation form for each course must be completed and signed by the instructor from which the high school course(s) were taken.
- The Articulation Application form, Competency Record Check List forms, and a copy of the student's high school transcripts should be sent to the Baker College or MCC Admissions Office.
- If the high school student has not enrolled at Baker College or MCC, an Application for Admission must be completed.
- Baker College: Upon successful completion of four college credit hours (4) at Baker College, the student should notify the Registrar's Office to verify that the pending articulated credit has been posted.
MCC: Upon successful completion of six college credit hours (6) at MCC, the student must notify the Admissions Office requesting credit for the articulated course(s). It is the responsibility of the student to follow through with this process. - It is the responsibility of the student to follow through with this process at both institutions.
Baker College:: The articulated course(s) will appear on the student's transcript as "R" (articulated credit). Students are advised that articulated credit generally is not transferable credit and may not be accepted at another college other than Baker College.
MCC: The articulated course(s) will appear on the student's transcript as "AC" (articulated credit).
