The Muskegon Area Career Tech Center opened in January of 2005 to serve juniors and seniors in the Muskegon Area. This "world class" training center provides our students with the opportunities to ensure their success in their occupation of choice.

The Muskegon Area Career Tech Center (CTC) is located at the corner of Harvey Street and Stebbins Road next to the wind turbine.

The facility boasts a number of innovative features including:

  • Geothermal heating and cooling system
  • Wind Turbine for producing electricity
  • Solar Panels that generate electricity
  • Motion sensors that turn lights and heat pumps on and off when rooms are occupied/unoccupied
  • Sensors that measure the light coming in the windows and dim the interior lights accordingly
  • Storm water recovery system

In addition to its eco-friendly structure, the CTC site is home to 17 different programs including Allied Health Technology, Auto Collision/Refinishing, Auto Service Technology, Business Careers, Catering & Culinary Management, Computer Aided Design, Construction Trades, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Electrical/Computer Technologies, Environmental/Veterinary Sciences, Graphic Production Technologies, Health Science Academy, Internet, Network & Security Technologies, Machining/Engineering Tech, Visual Communications, and Welding Technology.
